THE KIRK OF THE

BIBLE

Burntisland Old Parish Church is a unique and treasured building of international significance. It is one of the first post-Reformation churches in Scotland, built by the townspeople in 1592-96. The Church has served the local population as a place of worship for nearly 500 years while its beautiful decorative interior documents the social, cultural and religious history of Burntisland.

However, the future of the Church is now in great jeopardy as it will be put up for sale by the Church of Scotland at the end of 2027. The Friends of Burntisland Old Parish Church (FoBOPC) has been formed to keep the Church as a publicly accessible heritage asset for the foreseeable future and for the good of the community.

Please support our fight to save the church by becoming a member  and donating to our Crowdfund. We urgently need to raise funds to cover the costs of our campaign, including building purchase, insurance, maintenance and improvements.

Our vision is to keep Burntisland Old Parish Church a publicly accessible heritage asset for the foreseeable future and for the good of the community.
